Overview

Clear LDPE (low density polyethylene) plastic resin in pellet form is vacuum fed from storage silos and blended with various additives as required for specific product applications. These mixes transform the plastic polymer to improve their basic mechanical, physical and chemical properties into a commercial product.

The blended resins are then fed into extruders and melted at 380F. Screw drives force the molten mixture through a precision die where air is introduced and a ‘bubble’ is formed. This process is known as “blown film extrusion”.

Anti-Static Bags

An anti-static bag is a bag used for shipping electronic components, which are prone to damage caused by electrostatic discharge.

To create the anti-static effect, the black or silver bags are slightly conductive, forming a Faraday cage around the item to be protected and preventing any localized charges from being deposited onto the protected devices as the bags are handled. The pink or green bags are made of low-charging material that will not create harmful charges, but that does not protect the item from electric fields.

Flat Bags

The uses for poly bags are without limit! If there is a need to protect an item during storage or shipment, Norplex can supply a poly bag that is right for the job. Lighter density poly bags are good for items that are not heavy and only need a simple shield from their surroundings. Heavy density poly bags keep goods safe from harm in more abusive areas where dirt, moisture, and movement are factors that could damage your goods.

Gusseted Bags

Gusset Poly Bags are clear Low Density Polyethylene with gusseted (expandable) sides or bottom. Gusseted Poly bags will give you ample space to fill when the bag is opened. Our large selection of gusseted bags is available in a variety of mil thicknesses to fit your specific needs.
